A Total Game Concept
A fun performative game of networked interaction with people you didn’t know. The game is thought to offer people a chance to explore an urban environment and to facilitate a social experience.
Concept was made during the Games and Storytelling workshop
by Jessica Mulligan in spring 2006
The game is about delivering boxes from one location to another, making the deliverance fun and gives the player unexpected experiences. The box could be mysterious or have a unexpected delivery location. After the player has registered a box will be given to the player with instruction of where to deliver it. The game is planned to be coordinated by a computer system and SMS instructions. In addition the players are automatically sign in to a lottery that will serve as means to recruit new players. During the length of the Boxomania game, planned to last up to one week, the players can also contribute to a online forum and be a part of events arranged in the urban city scape. The core idea is to give players a fun and different experience that will be highly visible in a urban city environment.

The concept can be tailor to different sponsors and a special Christmas Boxomania game is also part of the plan.
