Producing a 30 min long interactive television programme, 2005
Designed and produced in the Media Lab
as part of the “Laika – Come Home!” course.
The interaction is based on a drawing board on the Internet. The same drawing board is shown at the television screen in real time.
The story is about two guys living inside the head of a chess player.
The chess player is depressed and he is planning to play a final chess game against himself. He has decided that if he loses he is going to commit suicide. The two guys in his head suddenly understand that then they will die too. Since they have lived a lazy life, not caring how the chess player is doing, they do not know how to influence his motivations.
The drawing board is a computer system visible in their living room. The two guys suddenly understand that this computer system can help them and they start to interpret the different visuals appearing on it, turning the impulses into action.
